I'm happy as long as Congress is either divided or completely opposed to the President. It forces the parties to work together to get anything done. This is what we had under both Reagan and Clinton, and it's also what we now have after 2010.
Anytime a party dominates the government, it's ultimately bad. The Extremes start to dominate for their narrow agenda at the expense of the general public. See GWB or Carter.
