Anybody else tired and annoyed by all this political correctness? I guess what I said above is my view on what I think political correctness is.
Those of us that didn't plan on voting for Obama in '08 were labeled "racist." But the odd thing is that Obama won because of the color of his skin. It was fashionable to vote for "the first black president." But, many of us weren't buying into his "fundamentally transform the United States of America" rhetoric, had done some research, and knew then that he was a Marxist/socialist, was a friend of domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, had been a member of the Chicago "New Party" (socialist), we doubted his citizenship (I still believe he was born in Kenya, else, why can't he produce a bona fide birth certificate?). Still we were "racist," and because we disagree with his policies, and the mess he has made of our country, we are still labeled "racist."

Homosexuals try to silence those who oppose them by labeling them as "homophobes," even though "fear" isn't a factor. It is a matter of morals.

Muslims are using the term "Islamophobe" to silence those who speak out against Muslims, and are using this approach to gain acceptance and entrance into our society for the purpose of what they call "civilization jihad," which is infiltration into our government and society in order to (ultimately, they hope) transform us into an Islamic State. By labeling those who disagree with Islam as "Islamophobic", they aim to humiliate and shame us into silence.

Democrats use the tecnique against Republicans: "Republicans hate (insert a word)." "Republicans want dirty air and dirty water." And on it goes. All lies, of course, but it works on the ignorant masses.

If you're Christian, you are stupid, "anti-science," believe in a "fairy tale book" etc, again the intent is to force Christians to keep their beliefs to themselves, and not insert religion into politics.

Of course, Republicans are "stupid," and Conservatives are worse.

What wasn't politically correct about that?
You communicated your values quite clearly.

That makes me wonder, what in the hell do you want to say to people that's getting you in trouble? It seems to me that you simply want to go over that line that's normally acceptable to people.

This is America. You can say what you want. You just have to be able to deal with the consequences of what you say. Deal with those consequences, and stop whining about political correctness.
This is America? "You can say whatever you want as long as you are willing to deal with the consequences" sounds more like Iran. There should no consequences. We have a freedom of speech, don't we?

If you are referring to the man who harassed the Chick-fil-A girl and video tapped the incident, he was just plain wrong, and stupid besides.

When you have a good job, you don't do things which might reflect badly on your employer. As a representative of the company, the man's employer was well within his right to fire the guy, who apparently held a high position.

No. I was talking in general. Going against PC common wisdom can make you lose your job or get in trouble with the HR... Corporations are scared of anti-discrimination lawsuits they wont take any risks.

How can you not pay attention to it when at every turn or every news channel there's someone or an organization of people complaining and protesting about something. As a business owner you cant even say what you're religious beliefs regarding marriage are without drawing massive backlash and media attention. You cant publically state anything remotely critical whether it be true or not about jews, midgets (little people), blacks, muslims, poor people, rich people, handicap people, Mexicans, fat people, Ugly people, kids, etc..... This country has become pathetically sensitive! It has become a nation of apologists who have to issue a public apology everytime someones feelings get hurt! America......A country that launched a 2yr investigation on why Janet Jackson's nipple was accidently exposed for 1 second during a superbowl half time performance. Really????

As we speak about political correctness, i have used terms in this forum that I felt were acceptable, however, the moderator did not and deleted my post. This is just one more example of how over sensitive everyone has become. If this is stuff people worry about I can only imagine how they over react to things that actually do matter.
