I've hearing the Chlamydia story (and even a couple Placenta stories) for at leas 30 years and anyone claiming "I know someone who" and goes on to repeat the tale probably doesn't.
Candida is still a yeast infection. And she suffered throughout high school for it.

There are a few Female's in Pittsburgh (Fe-Mahl-Lee).

Or we can be realistic for a minute.

The reality is, a lot of times a persons supposed qualifications tell very about themselves. It says very little about their work ethic or behavior. It doesn't even clarify if those qualifications were fairly achieved, or if they were the beneficiary of some preferential system(affirmative-action).

And it isn't as if there is only one applicant for most jobs, especially top-tier jobs. You might have a hundred people all with basically equal qualifications, and you are trying to quickly sort through them to find the few people who are most likely the best "fit" for your workplace.

My uncle works in the technology industry, and he says that, his company tends to favor hiring people from India. Because he says, they tend to be harder-working than whites, behave better, and are more likely to stick with the company, rather than constantly trying to better-deal.

Makes sense to me.

I was reading something not long ago, about how in Japan, there are a lot of bars that are "Japanese only". If you are white and want to go in them, you have to find a Japanese person to be your chaperone. The reason supposedly is that, Japanese bars don't like fighting, and westerners are more likely to get into fights at bars.... Which makes sense, because almost every time I go to a bar, there is someone being an idiot... That's why we have bouncers, and in a lot of clubs, several of them.

Isabel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is a popular Spanish name. I should have bolded that part of the post I quoted.

You do know that the Mercedes automobile was named after someone's daughter, right? Mercedes was a common name for girls long before cars even existed.

So? Is it Laquanda's fault that racist white people made up those stereotypes?

Like Condoleeza or Oprah Winfrey got passed up?
Condoleeza is a musical term. Oprah is a Biblical name mispelled. "Orpha"

I think this topic should be locked. People are getting all fired up and talking down on others. Seriously, you people sound worse than Behind the Name - I used to be on that website and they were pretty big offenders at judging people by their first names. You guys are worse.

It doesn't matter if you're Sarah, Shaniqua, or Soledad; we're all people.

Educated black people hate it the most when ghetto black people give their kids ridiculous names. Reminds me of the principal Mr. Duvall in Mean Girls played by Tim Meadows

[Mr. Duvall is introducing Cady to the class]
Mr. Duvall: Her name is Cady. Cady Heron. Where are you, Cady?
Cady: That's me. It's pronounced like Katie.
Mr. Duvall: My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony....almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.
