Keep up the good work, Republicans! America needs to elect MORE such congressmen, and boot out the big-govt Dems wherever possible.

Now if Congress would just stop trying to be so big-government liberal, Republicans could start doing POSITIVE things instead of merely holding the line against the Democrat socialists. Such as repealing Obamacare, getting rid of a lot of those restrictions, getting rid of the incredible spending etc.

They have a LOT of work to do. But stopping the big-govt fanatics was Job One, and they have been doing it well.

Kudoes!

But I fully agree with the thread title:

Thank you, TEA Party!
Even if the TEA Party manages to arrest the out-of-control spending, there is still a HUGE debt they'll have to cope with.

Might take a LONG time... so elect plenty of them and let them do it.

Yup! That's the problem...

Has the tea party dumbed-down Congress?

U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney, R-S.C., says no, even though a new study concludes that he speaks at less than an eighth-grade level. He scores lowest among 545 congressmen, including seven other Tea Party freshmen in the bottom 10.

The survey analyzed every word spoken by members on the floors of the House and Senate over the last six years and ran them through a test that equates education level with longer words and sentences. It concluded that congressmen speak at an average grade level of a high school sophomore.

So now the liberal fanatics are trying to tell us that it's not the laws the TEA Party members are proposing, but the words they use to explain them, that the fanatics object to?

Do these leftist losers actually expect people to believe their desperate fibs and diversions?

The Tea Party’s Plan to Cripple Congress

The Tea Party

`Wave goodbye to members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Doing nothing has taken a lot out of them, so they have left Washington for five weeks of rest, relaxation and campaigning in the hope that voters will return them to office to do more of the same.

This is especially the case for the large Tea Party contingent among the several score first-term Republicans. They set out to change Washington but settled for simply paralyzing it.

...Note to the GOP, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it...in spades.
HOw did you feel about congress before Tea Party members arrived?
Were things hunky dory then?

I get your point and feel the same about congress I simply don't pay attention to their monograms.. they are all useless not just one facet.

Well, you just gave away the fact that you did not read the article in its entirety...

Given that yardstick, it could be argued that most House members are dumber than a bucket of rocks. The best, most recent example of their cluelessness occurred last week when the Republican majority voted to eliminate the American Community Survey (ACS)......

Ironically, the ACS is a reliable tool for measuring effectiveness of government programs. As Rampbell pointed out, its numbers frequently appear on websites of Tea Party congressmen.
Yes, they certainly do represent their consituency...

People don't seem to get the fact that the people the TP are voting into office are RW extremists.

Absolutely, but unfortunately, even idiots want representation.

It takes the peculiarly twisted mindset of a liberal fanatic to decide that people who want a budget that spends only what it takes in, and a Congress that regulates only what it has been given the authority to regulate, is "extremist".

And these leftists wonder why they have been losing elections and polls at record rates lately.

Maybe they just aren't pompous and condescending. Or perhaps they aren't hiding behind a bunch of $10 words and flowery speech. There is a lot to be said for plain spoken leaders whose words can not be misunderstood.
