The Tea Party’s Plan to Cripple Congress

The Tea Party

`Wave goodbye to members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Doing nothing has taken a lot out of them, so they have left Washington for five weeks of rest, relaxation and campaigning in the hope that voters will return them to office to do more of the same.

This is especially the case for the large Tea Party contingent among the several score first-term Republicans. They set out to change Washington but settled for simply paralyzing it.

...Note to the GOP, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it...in spades.
Actually, you are accusing the WRONG group of doing nothing. The fault lies with Harry Reid and the Do Nothing Democrats sitting on all the bills passed by the House of Representatives, now awaiting the senate to take action.

I am always (dont know why anymore) at the utter hypocricy of the left.

NASTY NANCY clearly artculated the do-nothing stand of the demonrat party when they took over in 2006. They clearly stated that you would see NOTHING from them as alternative plans to the then sitting republican president.

She openly articulated a plan to simply defy and defeat anything republican.

then the dirty woman lost in 2010 and Republicans took the house. The Republicans started passing hundreds of bills, provided something demonrats had not done since they took control of congress.... A STINKING BUDGET!

what did Dingy Hairy do in the Senate? nothing. nada. nunka... no budget from dingy hairy.

Yet somehow you PROGS get away with saying republicans are "do nothing". That is utter bunk.

Stop being liars.

It's futile to even try to communicate with them. You just flat can't fix that type of stupid.

What's interesting is that all this started long BEFORE the advent of the TEA Party.

Perhaps this string should be renamed "Thank you, Nancy P and the Dumb Dems"?

How about it, carterstamp? You DO want truth and accuracy in the title of your thread, don't you?

All truth. Not sure where the lies are.

We'll see come November, when the GOP has the house, senate and WH. Then finally things will start to get done.

Those TP folks are getting elected. Like it or not, those are the facts. So obviously they represent the majority of the people.

You do know that if we went to a balanced budget overnight it would send the economy into a depression, right?

  • You do know if you you get your knees replaced, you'll have months of physical pain while doing therapy
  • You do know that if you undergo chemotherapy, your hair will fall out, you'll get sick and you'll become lethargic.
Let's see if we can come up with other scenarios where short term pain and long term gain apply.

Also you do understand that Federal spending was around 1.8 trillion in 2000 right? it didn't seem like the world was ending then.
