Perfectly legal of course, Romney is definitely the guy to close the loopholes, obviously he knows and has used them all, Luxembourg, who knew. The question is, can you really believe someone like this is suddenly going to become a born again christian and close this these tax shelters. You have to love his critcism of taxes on the wealthy, no shame in politics.

If Obama wins in November he should have him head the committee on loopholes and tax shelters.

"Bain funneled profits through subsidiaries in Luxembourg, a common corporate strategy for avoiding income taxes in other European countries, according to documents reviewed by Bloomberg News. The buyer, Italy’s biggest telephone company, now has a total market value less than what it paid Bain and other investors for the directory business"

Romney Persona Non Grata in Italy for Bain

Perfectly legal, then blame the tax code.

As it is, business gets to write off debt, cost of business, wages and so forth. Sometimes they can take losses over years. So you can have a profit in a year that doesn't show because the last few years were losses.

Romney as a business went into places that were losing business to turn it around.
I hear he has a remarkable 78% record.
Doesn't it make sense that when you go into a place with great debt you are going to have lots of debt to write off against profit?

I mean really, buy a clue.

This explains why he skipped Italy on his disastrous European tour.

Sounds like Italy should have left Bain in control for profitablity.
They probably let the government run it and that always Fs it up.

Here's something you conveniently forgot to quote: "Boston-based Bain wasn’t a subject of the inquiries, which didn’t result in any charges. "

I'm fairly sure you don't understand how international business is conducted; I'm positive that what you're implying is not what the article said.

How many Trillions of our tax dollars have been (and will be) funneled to China by Obama?

(in interest payments on the national debt)
