Yes I'm sure that is completely real. People are so gullible.
No reason to disbelive it. This happens every day in American. I've met many gay people who were disowned by their families (at as young an age as 13). A few of them were even driven from the family home at gunpoint.
Does it matter if the letter is phony? It's a good discussion topic. We're not discussing the letter itself necessarily, but the concept of parents disowning their children because they are gay.
You are free to start a thread on what is no doubt a daily occurrence.
Seriously, it has nothing to do with being gay or being a member of the NRA. it is about a father who has disowned his son. I just can't think of anything that would make me do that. Although being a member of the NRA is about the most idiotic reason that I can think of for disowning a son.
Parents disown children, children disown parents, nobody on here knows what happened to cause this, what actions and words were passed, your passing judgment without knowing anything about it, there are always two sides to a story.
