Do you think blathering about it in public will help or maybe focusing on leading a happy life without the father would be a better idea?
I wouldn't call this "blathering." He's pointing out an extreme reaction to him telling his father that he's gay. It is not typical for parents to disown their children. Being disowned by your own parent has got to feel pretty horrible.
My friends father wont talk to him anymore cause he married a black woman. Even worse is that he wont even acknowledge his grandkids. There are some sick people in this world
I had a friend who married a black man and was in the process of getting a divorce. He murdered her and then committed suicide. Her parents would not speak to her four children who were left motherless and fatherless. In this case, neighbors took the children in and cared for them until they were adults. One neighbor took the two boys and another took the two girls. The oldest girl was just starting college and there were funds started for her education by my friends and neighbors. The kids are all doing ok today, but I cannot get over the callousness of their grandparents.

Well at least one of the GOP posters on here has some common sense....
