Just wait till the usual suspects come on over and call this "loving the sinner but hating his sin" and try to brand it an act of love.
That isn't loving the sinner. There is no justification for what the father wrote. I only hope in time the father will come to understand that love is supposed to be unconditional.
If real it is very unfortunate. I hope the son has a good set of supporting friends and other family members. I pity the father.
