This thread is depressing.

Have we really deteriated to the point where people think that vibrators of all things are perfectly normal things to own and use?

It used to be that people were ashamed to be associated with such things. Sorry, but none of the rationales make sense. Sexual activity is supposed to take place between a married man and a woman - and if either party is not able to perform or be satisfied - the strength of the relationship will make it not be "the end of the world". There certainly won't be a need to use sex toys.

Seriously, we need a big societal change away from promiscuity and fornication. This "free sex" idea is eroding the family, devaluing humanity(especially women), and is a symptom of societal decay.

partake of it in private by all means, but the general public do not want to see it out on the streets.

It's akin to having exposed public toilets on the sidewalk - we all need them from time to time but would rather not watch others doing so.

(and porn is a separate issue before you bring that one up)

If you don't like it then stop posting. However, adults are talking and understand certain facts of life and are not trying to force their view upon others.

How does stating an opinion that you disagree with = "forcing a view on others"?

I have a position and I am advocating for it. That's fine if you disagree. The "forcing" rhetoric is simply your attempt to shut me up because you don't like what i said.

Guess what - no one is forcing you to read the thread. If you have an argument - then make it - don't mischaracterize mine.

You think it's ruining women now? .. You should have seen what it was doing to them in the 60's ... man-o-man what a ride .. and it's gone all downhill from that point onward

No need to get angry at yourself.

You should appreciate vibrators because you like the same sort of wrong thinking that was used to treat "female hysteria" in the 1800s.

The same kind of people that stand in line in public in front of cameras to get Halo video games.

This issue didn't need all these pages seriously.

Did you misunderstand?
These women were just receiving them not demonstrating the use of them

Maybe the whole thing has got your imagination working overtime, huh?Careful...... visualizing something like this might lead you to doing sinful things

Haha... trust me, it would be a LOT more boring than that other poster was imagining. I'm a 35 year-old single librarian with 3 cats (and a dog), for goodness sakes! My idea of a wild night is going bowling with a bunch of other librarians, and sneaking into the dog park after midnight.

I will let you in on one secret, though - I don't now and have never owned a vibrator. Hmmm.
