Not just America, but pretty much the world is controlled by rich white people....a very tiny percentage of rich white people....~ .000001%. The race baiting is just one of many methods used to keep people divided, controlled, and distracted so they won't see what's really going on.
Yeah pretty much. Citizens United pretty much legalize bribery. Now it is very hard for anyone who suits the interests of the business elites to compete, they will just be drowned out in cash. Wealth inequality is increasing and a small proportion of people have an increasing amount of power. Groups that we are having discussions about; Bankers, insurance companies, oil companies are putting a lot of money into the political process. There is no way that will lead to a reasonable discussion.
Im not saying rich people are evil, which is what I get accused of sometimes. Most recognize what is going on and have tried to stop it or warn us against it. But I am very nervous the way we are heading.

That would be a dictatorship. That is why we have the Senate and House of Representatives. But politicians have to raise money to run for office. And hundreds of lobbyists paid handsomely by large business interests push congressional members to vote in the interest of big business. The President does not make the laws, the House of Representatives generates bills, and they are passed by the Senate, and signed into law by the President.
Millions and millions of dollars are spent in the media misconstruing the truth of what goes on behind the scenes in this country. Average people who don't fact check what they hear, and pay attention (which is many people) buy into these lies promoted by big business.
Nancy Pelosi during the first 2 years of the Obama presidency when she was Speaker of the House generated lots of things we elected Obama to accomplish during his presidency. Big money interests DID NOT WANT THIS, that is why she is badmouthed. Do a search on the bills the House passed under her leadership.You will be surprised if you don't already know.
Republicans filibustered EVERY new law passed by Pelosi. There were a record number of filibusters by Republicans since Obama took office. More filibusters than ever recorded in history. Obama frightened big money interests. Big money wants an aristocracy, to allow a few big money interests to control America. Obama winning by 9 million votes was a big threat to Republican plans of draining all the money from government, and privatizing everything. ( The Post Office isn't broke (the decline in letter mailing was replaced by internet shopping parcels that are mailed. The Post Office is being forced to pay the next 75 years pensions in 10 years and they are cash strapped.) This was intentionally done to bankrupt it. Then the Republicans and big business can privatize it and put Post Office profits in their pocket, while we pay more, and have reduced service.
A filibuster is when the party in the minority in the Senate (the Republicans) can block the majority party (Obama and the Democrats) from passing any new laws with 51 Senate votes, forcing 60 votes for any laws to pass.
When the Democrats had 60 votes, all of those votes were not held by progressive Democrats. Joe Lieberman always voted with the Republicans, and Ben Nelson of Nebraska was a turncoat Democrat.
So there never were 60 votes to pass every bill. People who don't understand think Obama hasn't done enough. Without these filibusters, unemployment today would be between 6-6.5% instead of 8.3%.
Obama was not going to be allowed to do a great job. His administration has been sabotaged by big money Republican thieves, and until we the people see through it in majority numbers, stop being swayed by racial and religious division pushed by the Republicans, and fight back, this country will totally become a dictatorship.
The president is just a figurehead. Without a huge Democratic PROGRESSIVE (for the people, not big business) majority in the House and Senate, along with a Democratic PROGRESSIVE (for the people not big business) president, nothing will change for the people in this country. We cannot have a divided government. Government isn't the problem, not having people in government for the people, and not for big money is the problem.
Yeah, like all those Latino CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and all those Latino Congressmen and -women, and that pesky illegal immigrant Mexican President we have. When, oh when, will we persecuted white people be free of this oppression?
