If I was wealthy and had to pay that, I would move, fire all my employees and stop spending a dime in a. Country like that...

Lets see how the government and the all employees will like that!

People who are wealthy, spend more money and make sure more people have jobs but dumb socialists never opened their ears and eyes to understand the concept and are just jealous and morons and part of the entitlement state...good luck!
Here's the other thing, when the wealthy move away, then the upper middle class becomes "the wealthy" and will be the next to be taxed heavily because they'll still need the money to feed the beast. I'm just waiting for Obama to slide down that $250,000 threshhold when he can't pay for Obamacare and his giveaways because you know who is going to be the next hardest hit? Those regular people in those liberal bastions like NYC and San Francisco who have high incomes because of high costs of living for doing the same jobs others do for less income in cheaper cost of living states. Then maybe those people will wake up and start squealing about real "fairness."

Your post is inaccurate and based on generalizations:
1) When you say "the wealthy move away" to what extend is it true? How many of the very rich leave their country because a few percent raise in taxes? I can assure you that while some may choose to do so, many will stay.
2) The upper middle class become the "wealthy" - once again a generalization which assumes life is linear and continues in one direction. Examining the past 50 years will prove everything except a linear trend in taxation and fiscal policies.
3) Taxing the rich debate is here because in the last 20 years, the amount of wealth accumulated by a few is without precedent in history, while at the same time, the middle class suffers the worst erosion ever. The discussion centers around 3-4% increase in income tax and all panic about "taxing them to death" is baseless. However, unlike extreme lefties who want to punish or persecute the wealthy, I don't think such tax increase will solve US economy severe problems. Nor I think taxation should be used for ideological, philosophical or vindictive purposes. The only purpose should be practical.

Top marginal income tax rate? You're wrong.

Can you blame the rich for fleeing? Do you think we can't get here? We import too many impoverished people to keep the tax at a decent rate for the money makers.

The Rich ones that own our government would never move away.
Why move away when you own and control the rule book via writing legislation for you and your cronies
at the expense of the rest of the nation?

Rich US citizens cannot just move away to avoid tax. They are liable for US tax no matter where they live.

France is different. There, taxation is based on residency and not citizenship.

The Left loves to find a bad buy. It is always the wealthy, business community, never government, never failed government plans, always someone outside of government...if government in France just had more money everything would be great....

Answer these questions if your serious?

1) What type of people make up most of the government?
People that hail from places like Stan's Acme Hardware? Jerry's Diner? Rino Electric?
Or People in high places like Goldman Sachs, CitiGroup, Haliburton, Verizon?

2) Who writes the legislation and policy in the Government via lobbyists?
The people at places like Stan's Acme Hardware? Jerry's Diner? Rino Electric,
You know, the ones that employ the majority of American's?
or Heads of Goldman Sachs, CitiGroup, Haliburton, Verizon, etc?

3) Who pays the most taxes as a percent?
The small and medium sized business's of America
or the ones that write the legislation thus creating loopholes for themselves
while stiffing it to the small business in America that criminal's like Romney swoop in
and buy for pennies on the dollar?

The sooner you learn the system is rigged for the criminal elite at the top, the better off this country will be in beginning to turn it around.

The parasites at the top are not going anywhere as long as they own our government.

Do you think that is what this country is founded on, where we have an oligarchy controlling our government, rather than being based on free and fair capitalist markets providing equal opportunity for everyone?

mostly hypocritical scum - just look at the privatised railways in the UK now - they receive massive government subsidies yet keep putting the prices up to make the bosses even richer.
