I hate that expression "American Exceptionalism". Its a modern version of Manifest Destiny. If we are to be great, then the people need to be great. Greatness is not inherent in our political-economical philosophies, or vision for a future. We like to blow lots of sunshine up our own shorts.
Is good sportsmanship considered a liberal trait now while a true conservative patriot ought only disparage and defile the competition?
By those standards, Mike Krzyzewski (West Point Graduate, Army Veteran, Basketball Hall of Famer, Winningest Division I Basketball Coach in History and twice coach of USA's Olympic Gold Medal Winning Team) is communist scum. He even had good things to say about Tunisia, for God's sake!!!
Nobody bashed the athlete's over that. Quite ironic.
They questions Gabby Douglas' patriotism. That isnt bashing?
"You know, Gabby had that great moment, and everyone was so excited, and she's in hot pink -- and that's her prerogative," Camerota said. Webb, who hosts a program on Sirius/XM's "Patriot" channel, wondered, "What's wrong with showing some pride?""
I'm not a hardcore rah rah usa person but judging by some of the comments here we should ban the american flag and shouldn't even put a flag in our yard...
...despite the fact that every other country does something similar.
