That said, everytime one of you people posts something like this is does degenerative damage to the level of public debate. Everytime one of you people posts a fabrication, a distortion, or a lie it takes away from substanitive discussion of policy or plan, action and reaction.
The First Lady can't even engage in light-hearted banter on a comedy show without The Haters picking it apart and turning it into something evil and nefarious.
There is something seriously wrong with you people.

It's just how Michelle is, she cannot help but push her ideas on everyone around her. The exchange was only "cute" because Gabby handled it well, and she is cute.

And the discussion is we do not want people in government to push their eating and dietary choices down our throats, and that includes wives who use their husband's powerful position in government to legislate their preferences and their ideas to control what we eat, or effect anything else we do for that matter.
How blinders-on robotic and stupid can these nanny-staters get???
Sure, eating tons of fatty hamburgers, milkshakes, cheezwhiz, and all that stuff is bad for you. And if you do it without exercising, that's really bad for you. No argument.
But, explain to me how that applies to somebody who has worked so hard, watched her dieting so carefully, and gotten in such superb physical shape that she won TWO GOLD MEDALS AT THE OLYMPICS?? Especially someone who is sylph-thin and so well-toned she makes the rest of her (also gold-medal-winning) team look tubby? Someone so energetic her teammates dubbed her "The Flying Squirrel"?
Apparently this sparkling girl ate one (count them, ONE) Egg McMuffin, long after the competitions were over. And Michelle Obama took her to task for it! And even after she explained to Obama how carefully she watched her diet for years while training her @ss off and getting into that superb physical condition... Michelle came down on her like a ton of bricks. Something, I might add, that Michelle Obama is well-equipped to do, 'nuff said. Jay Leno finally had to step in and rescue her.
God Almighty, Michelle, can't you sit back and think for just a moment, who and WHAT you are calling "wrong"?
Michelle Obama Scolds Olympics Hero Gabby Douglas for Eating an Egg McMuffin

America's newest Olympics gymnastics star Gabby Douglas got scolded Monday night by first lady Michelle Obama for eating a celebratory Egg McMuffin at McDonald's after the competition was over.
Are you kidding me? All three of them are laughing the whole way through. Hardly what I would call a "scolding" or "coming down on her like a ton of bricks."

GABBY DOUGLAS: We didn't have time to celebrate. It was team finals and had to turn the page all-around finals and event finals after that. But, after the competition, I splurged on an Egg McMuffin at McDonald’s.

But wait its the GOP and their Christian fundamentalists who tell us no womans right to choose, no legal marijuana, no pornography, no religion outside of Christianity, forcing religion and prayer in schools that are public, Christian prayer not Muslim or Hindu prayer. Its Paul Ryan that pushed a bill saying a womans eggs were human beings and thus would have told women that they could not use most forms of birth control, it was the right wing and Santorum that said birth control was wrong, and Huckabee that said sex outside of marriage is a sin and wrong. It seems to me that the GOP and their right wing Christian nut jobs are the ones who want to tell others how to live.
As Samuel Clemons said, nothing needs reforming like other peoples habits.
You are arguing against tyranny from the federal government, and you should not vote Democrat. The democrats want all power and all decisions to come from the political elites and bureaucratic masterminds in Washington.
The current GOP and Republican establishment are not much different then the folks in the Democratic Party. The big government wing of the GOP is something we conservatives are trying to change. As to abortion, prayer, marijuana etc... those things should be left up to the states to decide.
As to a woman's "right to choose," somewhere in that argument, at some point in the pregnancy, is a baby's right to live. As to Santorum and Huckabee, their penchant for bible thumping is why I never voted for them.

Most people can see what the hate is really about...
The issue here is that Michelle Obama is a self-absorbed, jealous woman with confidence issues. Why did she bring up her own social agenda to joke with Gabby? When the gold-medalist said she splurged on an Egg McMuffin.....could the First Lady not have said "You go girl! I don't blame you! You earned the right to splurge!!"
Instead, what we got was a jealous, professionally unconfident woman who made seflish comments because she saw and heard her own social agenda being challenged. She simply could not make herself reliquish the spotlight for a moment while this young talented athlete relished the limelight. It was not a joke.....it was a comment that came from the deep, dark precipice of Michelle Obama's self-concious and jealous mind.
Michelle Obama is beyond worthless. I have absolute disdain for her and people like her.
