Well, what is this?

"The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA),[1] informally referred to as Obamacare,[2] is a United States federal statute signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. Together with the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, it represents the most significant regulatory overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system since the passage of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965.[3]"

You have to be viewing the entire world through an enormously jaded perception to see the release of these funds as a complete negative. Try to find your way out of those "dots" long enough to see the light once in awhile.

Again, you don't like the timing so you guys want to trash the whole thing?

Where did anyone say they want to trash it?
Kissing his butt over it after having withheld it for so long is a different matter.
Maybe you're suffering from a small case of Stockholm Syndrome?

I haven't seen anybody "kissing his butt"......that's just another effort to begrudgingly acknowledge that the release of the money is a good thing while at the same time insisting on bashing Obama.

I don't care about Obama's motives in releasing the money. Bottom line, the money will be good for people. That's the point. Releasing the money is a good thing, but Republicans acknowledging that it's good.....well, they just can't do it. They have to try to create a negative spin around it so as to counter any possibility that some people may vote for him because they think he did a good thing for them. It's YOUR politics.

I'm not suffering from anything, thank you.

Instead of flying Airforce one on campaign hops that money could be spent on roads.
You know what? I strongly support cuts in defense spending.

However, what exactly do you know about the stimulus? Try a different perspective:

"But it was a really big bill, 50 percent bigger than the entire New Deal in constant dollars. It included some New Deal-ish programs, like a $7 billion initiative to bring broadband to underserved areas, a modern version of FDR’s rural electrification. It included another $7 billion in incentives for states to modernize and expand the New Deal-era unemployment insurance system, which was created for a workforce of male breadwinners. Its aid to victims of the Great Recession lifted at least 7 million people out of poverty and made 32 million poor people less poor. It built power lines and sewage plants and fire stations, just like the New Deal. It refurbished a lot of New Deal parks and train stations and libraries. And Republicans have trashed the stimulus ...."

You not caring about the motives is your perogative.
Others do care about his motives as an indication of what other things he may or may not do and why he may or may not do them..

Why are some settling for short term gratification by using money we don't have with a political agenda behind it ?

What you get today is the public announcement of "We have money for you".
What many fail to realize that getting Federal money involves a mountain of paperwork and the approval process is long and lengthly and then the projects have to be prioritized before any money goes out.

You are looking at months and months and months. And how many states will do more than repaving roads seeing they don't have extra money themselves to fund a longer project and pay salaries/benefits to workers ?

Temp jobs created next January for a few months is NO SOLUTION.

If it cost 450 million to get that turd out of office and they put a check box on our tax returns last year for folks to volunteer to donate to get rid of him he would surely be long gone by now.
Perhaps you'd like to do some reading about what the stimulus did create? Try this.....and as roysoldboy forever demands, please actually read the link. Is Time magazine a liberal publication? Or was that Newsweek?

The New New Deal: A Book Argues That President Obama’s Stimulus Has Been an Astonishing Success - Slate Magazine

Michael Grunwald, a Time magazine correspondent, this week publishes The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era, a gripping account of President Obama’s stimulus bill. Grunwald writes that the stimulus has transformed America—and American politics—in ways that we have failed to recognize.
