It beats the pea shooter and sling shots to defend our country... that is the main reason we have a FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. To protect and defend our country... The programs came later.

Its a lot easier to grow a nation of 80 million then 300 million. Kinda like when anew company comes out and says we experianced 100 % growth. Then ya find out before they had 1 customer, now they have 2.

On the contrary there were plenty if you look at the value of the assets they controlled but they typically didn't take money out of businesses in the form of personal income. Instead, to avoid taxes, they kept reinvesting it into their businesses resulting in a very high rate of business expansion. As long as you kept reinvesting profits then no taxes were due and instead the rich often got a reasonable salary along with generous non-cash benefits like a company car, paid company trips, bigger & nicer offices, even company owned houses.

BTW I suggest you look up the difference between marginal tax rates and effective tax rates.

Face it, Eisenhower was a liberal not a conservative which is why the modern GOP has disowned all of his policies. Heck, the modern GOP is so dominated by extremists even Ronald Reagan would be called a RINO today and couldn't win the nomination because he raised taxes both as California's governor and as President and not just once but multiple times.
The interstate system was put in for the reason of moving the military. It was similar to what Hitler put in place . the Autobahn.

Facts to back it up? Do you live in a cave? I'm sure you could find a lot of facts about how Focus on the Family and Pat Robertson's ilk are in cahoots with progressives and lefties!

There are no new stances for the Republican party on socail issues...... you have been brainwashed by propaganda if you believe that

The main change has been economically

You're not even worth arguing with since you're the 1st Con I've run into that has tried to say "there's no new stances for the Republican party of social issues".
But anyway, really, the main change being economically, you may be right about that, Can't recall a repuke before 2003, who cut taxes, and started 2 wars on a credit card at the same time.
Futhermore, Con, do you really believe that Focus on the Family associates itself with the left and Democrats?
