Isn't the desire to not be sexually assaulted and possibly killed incentive enough to defend oneself?
Isn't the knowledge that it's wrong to not sexually assault and possibly kill people incentive enough to not sexually assault and kill people?
Posts like the OP's is one of the reasons women, children, and yes even men, continue to be sexually assaulted, because people make excused for the sex offenders and blame the women. If it's always the victims fault then nobody has to worry about it..."She must have been asking for it, or she wouldn't have been at that bar alone at that time, wearing that outfit." Give me a ruttin' break.
People who think women are in anyway responsible for being sexually assaulted, need to be locked in a male prison wearing a pink tutu and a halter top.
You might be one if:
You think women who dress "provocatively" are asking/wanting to be raped.
If you think that forcing a woman to be in a relationship/marriage to have a man protect her.
If you think that women who get pregnant after being assaulted should not have the right to abort the pregnancy.
If you start a thread as an apologist to sex offenders.
There are more, if anyone wants to add to it, feel free.
Your post was in response to this:
Did I mention child marriage or sati practice anywhere in that post?
I did. You responded to my post. All I said was that similar excuses have been made for such savage and oppressive practices. A little girl could be married to an old man, just so she can be protected. Was that a good idea that you favor? Or, a terrible idea?

.
You are the only one making such a suggestion. Is it a Freudian slip that you keep making ths point?
THE driving force of sexual assault is, and has always been, male-driven rage and a wish to control and shame women.
And shame on YOU for yet another repugnant, ignorant thread aimed at controlling, shaming, and belittling women, as well as another push to advocate sex with minors.
Figures that you would agree with an analysis that didn't have anything to do with the OP - and instead was the hateful diatribe of someone who read things in where they didn't exist.
A lot of people here seem to want women to be placed into danger - I wonder why.
Why the outrage over someone saying that a woman is in a better situation if she is married - the statistics show this to be true - arguing against reality doesn't get you anywhere.
Women shouldn't be "placed" anywhere!
If you'd try reading more than your minigod's posts you may learn something....
The OP never said that marriage guarantees that a woman won't be sexually assaulted - he said that statistically a divorced or single woman is more likely to be sexually assaulted then one who is married.
And said statistics are from what credible source.
Rape is the most under-reported crime.
And women whose husbands rape them are less likely to report it than divorced or single women. Which makes the OP's assertion highly questionable.
