I didn't mean to shut you all down.
One post to show where I was coming from and..... crickets.
From an ego filled, self righteous attitude, to complete silence.
Are you fed your talking points, or do you go look for yourself?

Sorry, I missed your post, first off you should use presidential elections to show red/blue states, they tend to have a higher voting percentage...of course then you should look at the election trends in case a red state goes blue or a blue state goes red once.
Now the only thing you have proven by this is that the OP is wrong, yes states like California, New York, and New Jersey are suffering from high unemployment, yet a number of red states, especially in the south east are also suffering from high unemployment.
Also as it has already been noted, a number of red states are subsidized by much wealthier blue states, which those states would be in a far worse shape without those federal dollars to help keep their budgets afloat.

More people voted in 2010, than 2008, or 2004, or 2000. It was historical and trend setting.
Whether a state is blue or red, its unemployment percentage has very little to do with its political leaning.
It will this time around.
With real unemployment averaging in the 15%-20% range, political leaders making the restrictions and picking the winners and losers, are going to be held accountable.
A very telling experiment.
Blue states and the entitlement mentality, have the highest unemployment rates and are hemorrhaging out of control.
Red states and a much more conservative look on life and freedom, have the lowest unemployment rates and barely felt the recession/depression.
44 states have reported an increase in unemployment. The release of the We Can't Wait funds will probably be given to union businesses to shore up their payroll to keep these numbers down. What will happen when the One and team run out of money? What will the Social Security pensioners do when the checks stop?
