Do you have a link to the official statement where the republican party accused Clinton?

This was in our paper today...........20 years after Ruby Ridge, there's forgiveness - US news - NBCNews.com

Randy Weaver moved his family to northern Idaho in the 1980s to escape what he saw as a corrupt world. Over time, federal agents began investigating the Army veteran for possible ties to white supremacist and anti-government groups. Weaver was eventually suspected of selling a government informant two illegal sawed-off shotguns.

Amazing all this can happen because the government suspects you did something. What a loss for this family and the years this women lost with her mom, not to mention a man that really did no wrong.

I have never understood the fetish that some right wingers have for Weaver and Ruby Ridge.

He did sell the illegal weapons and his friend and son had shot and killed a LEO already. The Weavers had refused to turn themselves in and were known to be heavily armed.

If Randy Weaver had been a black guy, living in the projects and LEO was trying to arrest him for selling drugs to an informant and he had pulled the same crap by refusing to surrender and shooting at cops would the right wingers still feel the same way?

Last time I checked - the penalty for selling weapons was not to have your son and wife murdered.

Extrajudicial justice took place - the FBI, ATF, and U.S. Marshalls have innocent blood on their hands.

I would be outraged - the war on drugs should be ended immediately.

I can't speak for anyone but myself.

Making distinctions based on skin color is part of what divides America - your hypothetical is rather presumptive and not very helpful - we are discussing a war on American citizens - and I oppose any such attack on an American citizen - and citizenship transcends skin color, hopefully you agree.

Selling drugs does not subject you to the death penalty either, why the different reaction?

Harris and Sammy Weaver shot at LEO's, and an LEO died. As a result, the little (14 year old) Weaver, who was carrying a semi-auto, magazine-fed rifle, got plugged. It's a time-honored consequence of shooting at people who are better-trained and equipped than you.

The thing that bugges me is why the suspect with the warrnat put his wife and family at danger to confront law enforcement on a weapons charge. I certainly wouldn't have place my family i such a dangerous poosition.
