I see a lot of threads either in support or against gay people. I see transexuals getting bashed pretty hard. I was once a hardcore anti-gay person. I mean I hated them. I didn't know any gay people, but I didn't need to just to hate. At one point in my youth I used to lay a beat down on them and call it practicing technique. God was on my side I reasoned. The book of Leviticus is pretty straight up about it after all.
Then I got cancer. I lived alone. My friends had work. My nearest family was 40 miles away and 130 miles from the hospital I had to go to.
One day I was pretty sick and must have looked pretty sad besides. A woman came over to my bed where I was hooked up to some vile stuff. She said "Honey where is your family?"
I didn't know her but any company beat the hell out of dwelling on how I felt. I told her none are available.
She was sick too. She also had cancer. She introduced herself as Kristine. She informed me that she would be my person. We became friends fast and she told me that she was transgender. No hair from chemo and grey as a ghost, we could have been brother and sister.
We became good friends and still are. For the pervs out there.
NO we dont have sex. We are close friends.
The point of this post is that we are all humans. Compassion costs nothing. We dont have to agree with a persons life choices to treat them like human beings. Were it not for Kristine I might have quit, might have become so sad that I stopped trying to live. It cost her nothing to be human. That is what I learned from her.
I know I will get a beat down for this post but oh well. In the end my friend is still my friend.

I doubt there are many people who actually hate gays on here, just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you hate them. When I hear the word Hate I think of how children act.

Why would you have hated someone you don't know? Well, I'm glad you changed your opinion.

I disagree with homosexuality but I don't hate them. My closest friend as a small child was a gay man, he loved me as if I was his own child. He loved kids and not in a perverse way. He never tried to turn me gay, shesh he would fantasize about my future, my wife, kids. He wanted the same thing, a wife and kids but because he was so girl like no girl would give him a second look but guys would. He died when I was young and I miss him.

My only problem with a transgender person would be if they looked just like a woman, and were packing a little more between the legs and didn't inform me about it before hand.

Other then that, I don't care what the individual does.

There are a lot of them in many cities. The more of them I meet the more I learn.
