Why dosen't the State then rent the labor to the Farmers? Ever consider this is reimposing SLAVERY in the US?
Given the iron rule of economics; Supply will always meet demand at the right price why do the farmers not offer more money? Or does losing the crop not cost as much as picking it at a loss?
The prisons are full of able bodied people. Seems like a simple solution. Put shock collars on them with GPS trackers and correction jolts if they get out of line. Time for these guys to start earning a living.

They eventualy will .Or I should say would, but instead will cry to the gvmt and the gvmt will cave in as always.
Like many US employers, they don't check the green card status, they simply accept it. And of course, there are those that lie to enter.
My great uncle lied about his age to join in 1941. Many people consider him a hero.
Everyone seemed to be doing that back then. Both my grand father and his brother did. It's estimated that up to 25,000 members of the armed service lied about their age to enlist for WWII.
California is full of able bodied illegal immigrants, but they don't want to do the work. This whole idea of needing illegals to do slave labor, to pity them, and rationalize keeping them here was always propaganda.
Saying used to be that illegals were doing the work that Americans wouldn't do.
Guess now, even the illegals won't do it.
