Planned Parenthood is NOT an abortion mill. It is a critical provider of medical and other services to women of all ages, races and financial condition. Even if it did provide abortion services that is none of your concern. What is provided and accepted is only the concern of the provider and the recipient.

Rep. King is at best ignorant but most likely just another Right Wing ass (as in donkey). As in loud, stubborn and stuipd.

But its a pretty telling comment for a legislator who sponsors bills banning funding for abortion due to incest or rape. One would think that a person who opposes such funding would take the fracking time out to familiarize themselves with the statistics provided by his own state before sponsoring such legislation be that information being brought to him in a "personal way" or not.

1,019 teenage and 833 child survivors of sexual abuse were served by Iowa sexual violence centers from July 1, 2006- June 30, 2007.

915 teenage and 866 child survivors of sexual abuse were served by Iowa sexual violence centers from July 1, 2005- June 30, 2006.

In 2009, there were 719 confirmed reports [to the Iowa department of Human Services] of child sexual abuse and 244 confirmed reports of a child living with a registered sex offender.

According to the 2008 Iowa Uniform Crime Report by the Iowa Department of Public Safety, there were 931 reported cases of forcible rape; 151 reported cases of forcible sodomy; 108 reported cases of sexual assault with an object;

716 reported cases of forcible fondling; 43 reported cases of incest; and 148 reported cases of statutory rape.

Among Iowans who have ever experienced sexual violence, most experienced sexual violence before the age 18.

Men and women who have ever experienced sexual violence were equally likely to have experienced sexual violence before the age of 18 (65.8% and 67.1% respectively).

Among women who experienced sexual violence before the age of 18, the perpetrator was most commonly a family member or friend, acquaintance, or a date. (The sample contained too few male victims of sexual violence to analyze separately.)

Sexual Assault in Iowa Statistics, 2009 Compiled by the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault using the Iowa Crime Victim Assistance Division, Fiscal Year 2007 Annual Report; the 2008 Uniform Crime Report, Iowa Department of Public Safety; Iowa Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System survey, Iowa Department of Public Health. (Statistics above are the most recent available as of August 2008)

But then again in King's defense the age for unmitigated statutory rape is only 13 years of age, and it's ok for an 18 year olds to have sex with a 15 years old.

Now dems my kind of family values!

Your post is meaningless. Where are the stats about statutory rape that results in pregancy?

The ******* liars would have you believe something else.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it againt federal law to provide federal money to abortion mills currently like PPH?
Having heard of it is not the same as knowing someone personally. You can't tell the difference, yet you call others *******s and accusing them of lying???

That's your rebuttal? Steven King said he never heard of someone getting pregnant. You translate that into, I've never known anyone personally who has gotten pregnant. That's a deficit in comprehension. I don't know anyone personally who has gone to the moon, but I've heard of men going to the moon.

That's not what King said. He said the issue has not been brought up to him personally like others have been.

You can't equate incest with statutory rape. Two different critters.

Statutory rape is sex between two willing individuals, with one being under the legal age as defined by whatever law has jurisdiction where it occurred.

Incest is defined as sex between blood relatives, consensual or not.
