Lubbock, Texas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to a study released by the non-partisan Bay Area Center for Voting Research, Lubbock is the second most conservative city in the United States among municipalities greater than 100,000 in population.
In other words, if you think he's crazy, you should see his constituents.
It is frightening that this man who is obviously suffering from a mental illness-induced paranoia (well, mixed in with a heavy dose of Good Ole Country Boy racism) is in a position to raise anybody's taxes.
As a Texan I must say, gosh, sometimes it is so hard to be a Texan... Please tell me there is another state with as many crazy people... South Carolina maybe? Florida?
No, in other words, if you think he's crazy, you must not be from around here. We take the Constitution seriously here.
Let me understand what you are saying, because I had to do a double-take. You are saying that it's perfectly acceptable that if a president wins re-election, based upon the Constitution, and people revolt against that election outcome, it just fine to back those in rebellion?
Since you " take the Constitution seriously" that's called insurrection in the Constitution -- just in case you didn't know.

Well, of course Molly Ivins made a career out of reporting on 'Texas Crazy' politicians.
Several decades ago we had some guy running for state representative who thought it would improve his chances of winning if he fought off criminals and was harmed in the fight. Thus, he got a friend with a shotgun. The budding politician opened a car door, ducked down behind the open door, and stuck out his left arm (he was right handed) and had his friend give the exposed arm a load of buckshot. Said budding politician then called a press conference to report that he was injured while defending the good People of Texas.
Alas! The truth rapidly came out! I believe he underwent psychiatric treatment. I also believe he lost his race.
I would not worry about this Lubbock county judge. He got his fifteen minutes, and I'm sure the county commissioners are ignoring him.
I went to law school at Texas Tech. Lubbock was a nice enough place to live for a couple of years. However, I never saw any reason to return for a visit. Once you see Prairie Dog Town, you have pretty well exhausted the local sights.
A link for those who wish to visit the Prairie Dogs:
I had a nice thread about Republicans threatening violence and civil war if they didn't get their way in elections. Republicans are pretty much nothing more than anti-Democratic, anti-American fascists. "The majority of the people didn't agree with me so now we're going to start killing people!"
They're the modern brown shirts.
Another Lubbock resident apparantly has come forth to state their opinion.
So now if any American voices their opinion on something they are labeled crackpots...
obama sure is changing America from:
Land of the free and home of the brave
to:
Land of the muzzled and home of the wimps
Did you just really try to muzzle our right to call this guy a crackpot under the guise of free speech?
Seriously?
Dear god, my capacity to endure stupidity is almost maxed out already today and it's not even lunchtime.
