Yes, graduated suma c*m laude. Where'd you go to college?
Book smart and common sense do not always go hand in hand.
He wants to improve the economy? Was he an economy major?
He thinks he knows how to make a business thrive? Has he ever ran a successful business?
he has surrounded himself with some questionable characters. They treat our economy like a lab experiment.
He hasn't done everything wrong, but he has made some huge mistakes. Solyndra being one of them.
The Chevy Volt is another.
personally I feel we wasted a lot of money in Libya.
Obama makes a habit of mispeaking requiring a team of people to constantly explain what he really meant. As a lawyer he should be trained to do better than that. Then there is Biden.
Nothing can fully prepare somebody to be president. It could be argued that a CEO is actually less prepared to be president than a politician. CEOs get to be the kings of their companies. They give orders and their subordinates listen. A president is only part of one branch of government. He has to be able to give and take.
Obama now has four years of experience being president. Mitt Romney has none. And don't forget about the experience in foreign relations that Obama has. Again, Romney has none.
CEOs are executives, who are held responsible for their decisions, and they learn from their decisions. From their mistakes and successes, they learn to take advise, they learn who to trust, when to trust, and they learn how to trust their own judgement, and lastly, they learn if they are even cut out to be a leader. 0bama has never had any of that type of training from the school of hard knocks.
0bama has had four years, and he hasn't learned anything, because he has no peers, he does not have to show success, because he can blame kiosks, ATMs, tsunamis, the Arab Spring, Republicans, yadda, yadda, yadda. If he were a CEO or a football coach, and three years straight everything has either remained the same or gotten worse, he'd be fired, and out on his ear.
A CEO or a NFL coach has to face the owners, or a board of directors, 0bama doesn't have to face any of that. As president, 0bama just has to razzle-dazzle the stadium crowd with free beer, or impress the customers with free samples and promotional give-aways. Being the president is much easier then being a CEO or a NFL coach, because as a CEO or coach, the people who can fire you want to see results, and will not be bought off with fancy speeches and free beer.
Romney was a CEO, it's a brutal and competitive world, because everyone wants your job. If Romney even semi-regularly made bad decisions and was a poor leader, he would have been kicked to the curb by the board of directors.
And how does romney, the chameleon, qualify him as president. You didn't want him last time so why do you want him now.
I don't.......... it's who was elected. I'll vote for him to stop the Obama train crash if it doesn't work Romney will go in 4 years. By then hopefully someone worth holding the Presidency will be in there.
I believe the great orator was a lawyer for acorn suing the big evil banks to make loans to people who can't pay em back. Now he has the DOJ sue the big banks for providing those loans in the first place for predator lending.
Lol, what was I thinking, golf courses are so 1999, maybe a little yachting???
Oracles' CEO's yacht... I think he "compensating"...
Your childlike view of the day-to-day activities of your average CEO is adorable.
In the real world, however, CEOs put in 14 hour days and lose sleep as they try to figure out how to make payroll.
CEOs have to carry the world on their shoulders while lower level workers have no such responsibilities.
Why do liberals with zero business experience think that the CEOs of America's 200,000 private companies with revenue over $500,000 per year are all billionaires?
By the way, if you actually read about the founding of Oracle you will see how Larry Ellison worked harder than you ever will while earning less than minimum wage as he tried to build his company from scratch.
THAT is entrepreneurship.
THAT is wealth creation (as opposed to Obama's belief that welfare builds America).
A relevant argument in 2008, but this isn't 2008. Time to move on.
He is still president and he is running again here in 2012. The time to move on is when he loses in November.
