Trading caps and gowns for mops - MarketWatch

Yet more proof that this economy is struggling and that we need a drastic change to return confidence to this country.

You liberals want to focus on rape and tax returns need to wise up. Another 4 years of Obama will bring nothing new. He doesnt even have any plans. So what, simply allowing tax rates to go back up on the rich is supposed to fix everything? Get real. Time to stop whining about contraception and other false war on _____ garbage and focus on the damn economy. And Obama can not win on the economy. He has no plans on the economy, certainly none that will return confidence to this country, and you know it. Hence, your attempts to distract from the real issues.

And while 63% of “Generation Y” workers — those age 18 to 29 — have a bachelor’s degree, the majority of the jobs taken by graduates don’t require one, according to an online survey of 500,000 young workers carried out between July 2011 and July 2012 by PayScale.com, a company that collects data on salaries.

A lot also depends on your GPA. When I did campus recruiting with my company we took all resumes from seniors.
But we created 2 piles, one with GPA 3.0 and above and the other pile with the rest.
Guess which pile was bigger ? Guess which pile got trashed and never looked at ?

Big companies have their pick these days. But there's probably a lot of kids going to college when they're better off going to trade school.
