Ok, their treatment and entire outlook on women for starters.
Women are NOT equal under Islam. Allah said so in the Koran.
Women are still not equal to men under Catholicism or Mormonism either.

DNC prayers - snopes.com

My favorite posts from the above link:

The official schedule has no mention of this organization or a jummah.
http://www.demconvention.com/speaker...-and-councils/
Schedule - 2012 Democratic National Convention | 2012 Democratic National Convention

Considering Timothy Dolan's past comments in regards to Gay and Lesbian unions and his connection to paying off priests suspected of child abuse, it's better he stays away

I took a look at the Charlotte in 2012 site. According to the site, Charlottein2012 is "a non-profit, non-partisan organization established by the city of Charlotte to fulfill obligations of the master contract with the Democratic National Convention Committee. In addition to those obligations, Charlotte in 2012 works to engage the citizens of Charlotte and the Carolinas through business and civic opportunities, ensure that the Convention leaves a positive lasting legacy, and tell Charlotte and the region's story to the nation and the world."

From this, it appears that Charlottein2012 is not an arm of the DNC and certainly not under the control of Obama. Furthermore, the Jumah prayer on Friday is not part of the convention; it is a pre-convention event, just as Carolinafest2012 is a para-convention event that is also free and open to the public. Only Carolinafest2012 takes place during the convention while the prayer takes place two to three days before the convention.

Therefore I, for one, must conclude that the allegation that Obama has arranged to "allow 20,000 followers of Islam start the DNC with a jummah prayer" is false.

So... in other words, a group NOT associated or controlled by the DNC - Carolinafest - is either hosting or promoting a Muslim prayer in conjunction with other cultural events taking place prior to and during the convention.
DEBUNKED but the thread lives on.

No it wasn't. A terrorist sympathizer was "authorized" to speak at an even running under the DNC label.

Yeah we know. You're pro-life but you don't care that the Dems are kissing the rear of a guy who really did hurt American children. For the seventeenth time I hate Islam. At best I think the Dems are foolish and naive about Islam. At worst I think they actively abet that horrible cult.

But when you refuse to say a word against the cardinal I am not the person who looks like a hypocritical nut here. The Reps are just as bad on both Christianity and Islam.

Can you please link to the DNC's endorsement of this speaker?

Authorizing a prayer session for Muslims is not a tacit endorsement of any individual speaker.

I said a few times, I don't care about Dolan nor his beliefs. I condone what he did, but I don't look to him as a leader of anything. I'm pro-choice by the way, but not as a form of birth control. That is murder.

Yeah ok, in order for the DNC to "authorize" it, they have to know the who, what, when and where of the event. It was checked and authorized.

So you don't care that a person who shielded known criminals is speaking at the Dem convention? Yeah there's a pro-life stance. Fetuses are sacred but actual living and breathing little boys can be molested and that's okay.

I am literally repulsed at your words here.

God, but you people are dumb.

Here's the link:

Charlotte in 2012: Upcoming Events

And here's the disclaimer:

Quote:
This events page is intended to give local residents and convention-goers a comprehensive look at convention week activities and should not be considered an endorsement of any particular event or group by the Charlotte in 2012 Convention Host Committee or the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC). Official convention events are denoted with the Charlotte in 2012 or DNCC logos. All other submissions are user generated.
It's sneakily hidden front and center, 3rd paragraph from the top. Do I need to explain to you what "user generated" means?
