First off, I'm European and never been to America. My friends tell me that America is such a great country. A nation that's disproportionately white, where people get along just fine, the politicians and the government care about the people, greed isn't common, the justice system is incorruptible, families stick together, the divorce rate is low, the educational system is the best, house prices are inexpensive, the crime and juvenile rate is low, people are respectful to their parents, everybody has rights, and the police protects the people than harass.
My friends are telling me the president has done a great job in bringing the economy back and uniting the people and that America is improving. Is that why the United States is the greatest country in the world? Is that why other countries love America and want to move there?
pretty much everything u were told is the opposite, but it's still a great place
For me becuz:
-if you work hard and stay legit, you can have a nice life even without being rich
-the law works here and an average citizen has rights and is protected by the law (most of the time), as opposed to many other countries
-best diversity in the world, beautiful women from all over
America is the greatest nation on Earth because I can say my president is an idiot and no one is going to arrest me. And yes, I know you were being tongue-in-cheek, but our police do try to help more than they harrass. We also are the one nation on Earth that actually tries to practice true universal education. I lived a few years in a couple of other countries, there really is no place on this Earth as good as America.
