So what? Who cares? Are you in favor of quotas and affirmative action to force companies to hire more men?

Men, Signing Off

"And men? Outside of a few traditionally male bastions -- the sports guy, the weathercaster, the boss -- men are disappearing from TV newsrooms.

... Women reached statistical parity with men on the anchor desk in the early 1990s, and their ranks have been climbing since. The number of female anchors reached a record high last year, accounting for 57 percent of the positions in a nationwide survey conducted by the Radio and Television News Directors Association. Just as impressive are the gains in the rest of the newsroom. Women account for more than half of TV reporters (58 percent) and such middle managers as executive producers (55 percent), news producers (66 percent) and news writers (56 percent).

At the bottom of the career ladder are even more women: Almost two-thirds of bachelor's degrees in journalism and mass communications were awarded to women in 2004, according to research by Lee Becker of the University of Georgia."

As a feminist, don't you care? Wouldn't it bother you if women constituted only 13 percent of anchors, as they apparently did in 1982?

Gee, feminists used to care passionately. Executives and HR managers with their MBAs obviously cared enough to make this happen. This is a great victory for your team, don't you think?

You are not "awarded" degrees, you earn them. Could the reason that more women have bachelors in journalism be that more women went to school for journalism? Nah, that's silly.

Sure, but why do more women go to school for journalism in the first place? It's the same old story - men, even those who espouse feminist ideals, avoid feminist dominated professions, just as they now avoid feminist dominated universities.

You'll do anything to drive a wedge between the sexes, and your posts display a total lack of shame (or insight) in that regard.

Your posts don't come NEAR to revealing a shred of respect or love of females. What they do reveal is contempt, fear, mistrust, and a desire to control them.

It does not speak well of any person who must control the opposite gender in order to coexist with them. It displays a very insecure and damaged person.

Oh, also hanging with men who are supportive of women, appreciate their intelligence, who are secure in themselves as men and not worried that women are going to leave the kitchen to take over the universe. So thanks, I'm good.

Funny, radical feminism has been driving a wedge between the sexes since before I was a child. You get a little push-back, and now I'm the aggressor.

Shameless, sexist me, I know ....
