So far, the responses betray more about the posters than the subject.
Most seem to assume that I cite one office only, or excuse the violation of the law based on their own assumptions.
In response to one question asks, yes we should boot the law violators out of office. By their actions they are breaking the law which they swore to uphold.
It would appear that some support illegal actions based on their own bias. But when the other side does a similar action, they scream to the high sky.
If an office holder is elected, the least we should expect is that they honor their word and uphold the law. I don't care which party they belong to.
IMO.
What it betrays is that most posters aren't dumb enough to respond to your trolling demand for a yes/no answer to a question that is far too complex for yes/no answers.
Clue: Obama will not be removed from office because you do not like him, either beat him through the democratic process of National Elections or find a law he has broken and get him empeached, until then learn to live with it.

Where does leadership actually fall into your world? is it wrong for a Gestapo officer to not do his duty and follow the law when he let a jewish child go?
It is not so black and white.
I would say that as the elected official if you don't like how he is enforcing the laws, or prioritizing, then don't vote for him. yet don't try and make an argument that a power of the president is somehow illegal if this president uses it. . .all Presidents have had this authority. Bush was nuts with it.
I can not come to any conclusion based upon a vague statement. Abraham Lincoln disregarded the laws during the war. Should he have been removed for it?
Should any elected official be removed from office if they knowingly and continually break or fail to enforce the laws they were elected to and swore to enforce?
If they don't like the law, wouldn't it be better to work to change that law than looking for ways to circumvent the law?
Yes, IMO, they should. This is one reason that we should go back to having the state Governors appoint the Senators. This would allow an immediate recall of any Senator who violates his/her Constitutional oath.

Lincoln's disregard for the Constitution forced the civil war to happen. After the war commenced he continued to abuse the Executive power by suspending Habeus Corpus. Should he have been removed from office? IMO, yes.
Try to stick to the thread topic of elected officials. LEOs are neither elected nor do they hold office.
How about we discuss why you and KU believe Lincoln should have been removed from Office, is it because you are for slavery or simply against maintaining the Union, so which is it?
