I had a friend who dated a few of them, the above isn't true at all. Majority are most definitely straight and a lot of them prostitute themselves to close clients. Sex can be addictive and most strippers are addicts. Its a drug. I personally am not a fan, but I believe they serve a purpose in society. I am also a strong believer that prostitution should be legalized. Maybe then, psycho people wouldn't rape/kill others.
I've dated five strippers in my life, and am good friends with a lot of others. They can be broken down into several basic categories.
1.) Girls moonlighting to pay for college ~10%
2.) Drug users ~5%
3.) Lesbians/Hardcore feminists ~ 5%
4.) To prop up their ego about their bodies ~25%
5.) Sexual abuse survivors ~5%
6.) Better paying then McDonalds ~50%
I'm sure I've forgotten a couple of categories, but most of these women are in it for the money plain and simple.

Good post. I've always thought men who go to strip clubs tend to be losers and creeps who want to feel bigger by belittling women.
How are they belittling women when those gals are making all that money? Girls have all the luck it seems. Have a nice body and men throw money at you. Must be nice.
There's a club in DC that has naked male go go dancers. They're nice. I was shocked when I first went but it was a lot of fun. However, it sucks that you can't really touch or get a more private lap dance.
It's baffling to me why strip clubs exists in countries where prostitution is legal.

I agree 2000%. I have a friend who has dated a stripper and she said the majority are lesbians and do not like men in the first place. I can think of 100 better ways to spends my money
If I'm going to spend $250 on a woman to pretend to like me, I might as well buy a hooker and at least get the guarantee of satisfaction at the end.
However, I do have to admit I like strippers. I like the look. I like watching them dance and I like them flirting with me in order to get me to buy a lap dance.
I also get treated by them a bit better because I'm a clean-cut and in-shape young guy as opposed to the usual fat and sweaty guys that go to the clubs. However, I haven't been to one in at least a few years.
How about renting (or going online) a porno flick and while it is playing throw money at it and after it is over go and get your money back. Same result as a strip club plus it is cheaper. This also works with your significant other and at least she can make you a sandwich afterwards.
Ive been to a strip clubs twice for male strippers.
Both times the first 90 min show they bring out the less attractive guys. Cut bodies but jacked-up grill pieces, buck teeth, pimples, pimples on their butts and the lamest dance moves. Toward the end of the show, they bring out the A-guys and ok...they were worth some cash.
Before we left, we decided to check out the female strippers in another room and they were way worse. No build-up, they came right out throwing their bras off, jingling tiny boobies around, pushing crotches in some bored guys faces. It was actually quite sad. All of them rail skinny, but bodies at all, looking bored, sad or strung out.
I thought men actually come out to see this? I had a better body then every last one of them!
