Default Ron Paul on List of "Most Corrupt Members of Congress"

Double billing for travel over a ten year period? Maybe a few,....but DOZENS of double billing?

James (President of Libertarian Liberty Committee) maintains that Paul’s transgression is two-fold, alleging that the congressman used private funding for official business and received dual reimbursements for dozens of trips.

“For a gentleman that is trying to have the Fed audited and is calling for government accountability, this would certainly be Ron’s opportunity to live up to that and we’re very disappointed that he is choosing not to,” James said. “His response is just as upsetting as the double billing itself.”

Paul’s office declined to comment on the congressman’s inclusion on the list.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washinton (CREW) charges that government funds were misappropriated by Paul, and Liberty Committee is considering bringing charges for the unanswered charges submitted to Paul.

Maybe Paul can't walk on water after all.

Double billing can happen for all kinds of reasons other than fraud. I will wait for further insight.

Repubs attacking Repubs, the GOP breakup is coming soon, right on the heals of their November loss.

Double billing is one of the most common mistakes made (and plentiful) by those who have to travel a lot for work. If he was doing it intentionally, I'm sure they would have found way more than a few dozen in a 10 year span.

Joe Biden is on Citizens against government waste list as a porker. They give him a score in the 20's meaning he is really bad.
Charlie rangal is also on the list as is reid and Pelosi.
Frank and Dodd are also porkers.
Yet those on the left refuse to hold them accountable. What is not in question is the evidence of their guilt. Paul's guilt??? We will see.

Ok it just says the office declined to comment. Then bringing charges for unanswered charges? How long did they wait and is this official or legal investigation?

Sorry, but this sounds like a seriously biased spin. Sounds like someone's mind is made up here. Lot of criminal accusation about double billing with no real evidence of wrong doing.

Paul is one of the bigger porkers in congress, that is pretty well known.

Paul is the only one in congress that returns part of the budget to the treasury every year.
