Why do ideologies have to be egotistical?We debate our ideologies as a means to boost our egos rather than to solve problems. We see it all the time in economics. Paul Krugman and his fellow economists go back in forth in trying to disprove on another to make themselves more credible and devoid of self-pity. Even on this forum, liberals and conservatives/libertarians go at each other to argue whose ideology is more worthy. Nobody is doing it as a means to solve problems.
