Maybe the coach did his team a favor. I know that I wouldn't want that guy to "brush" against me in the shower or dressing room. I may quit and several more would probably feel that way if he stayed around. Nope he is perfectly able to follow that sexual orientation but just think what each of the other players may be thinking if he was staring at their private parts in the shower. Not all the players are as large as he is and they may fear him. I don't think the school forced him to play football or that they could force the other players to remain there. He deserved nothing more than what he got, IMO.
If you're too much of a wimp to handle another guy checking you out in the locker room, you don't deserve to be playing football, and if you ever dare put the moves on a woman who doesn't want it, you deserve to be called a hypocrite.
Wahpeton ND where NDSCS is located and where this took place is about 100 miles south of where I live. The AD director and president were on local radio talk shows out of Fargo this past week. They said that it was wasnt the first time Jamie had someone in the press box, and because he was injured and not playing he was assigned a specific duty to perform. According to the AD, it was these distractions which prevented him from doing his assigned role in the press box and the reason he was let go.
I do think the way it was done was handled poorly. The coach should have dismissed him in private and not in a public setting while on a bus trip back from a game.
usually there are team rules against lying, and since he lied to the coach, he broke the team rules. small one yes, but how many other team rules had he broken? it seems we are not getting all sides of the story here, as usual.

Since when does a football coach have the right to invade a student's privacy, and then kick them off the team if they don't like the answer the student gives?
The video I just posted gives each side side of the story. With all things considered, you have to ignore a lot to believe he was dismissed for lying to his coach and teammates.

Maybe he fears homosexuality is contagious. And maybe a number of straights would need to check him out just long enough to make sure he has balls.
