Well, as for recently with the "Health Care" Pelsoi did force it upon us.........pass it so we can see whats in it, how is that a reasonable option?? How do you think all these kids right out of high school are going to afford this??

What should we do both as respective parties and as a country.... continue with another 4 years of deadlock, wage all-out 'war' with each other, hope the opposition will crawl back "under a rock", support the "moderates", try to make peace with an enemy who will settle for nothing less than their opponent's head on a platter... what exactly, will bring the country more or less back "together"?!!
I don't think it can be brought together. You cannot reason with Republicans and right-wing Democrats, you have to roll over them via the ballot box; vote in progressives who will move the country forward, rebuild the social safety net, save the country from oligarchy. Hopefully Obama has learned his lesson about trying to work with American fascists and will ignore them, and the voting populace will be smart enough to vote in a majority liberal House and Senate.
You could try something really radical and actually try to compromise, but since a democrats definition of compromise is "you do it my way" I'm sure we can look forward to 4 more years of deadlock.

Let all of the bush era tax cuts expire, once tgats done you can use tax cuts as a bargaining chip. Democrats can say that Republicans didn't support middle class tax cuts, if they vote down a bill with a return to the previous tax rate of this year. Doesn't matter what else is in the bill, they wouldn't dare vote against a tax cut.
Nothing. In fact this is why i'm laughing at those who find solace in Obama's poll numbers. Do they not realize that an Obama victory literally means another 4 years of stagnation? Other than Obama circumventing the Constitution through Executive Orders, there's absolutely nothing he can do to stop the House GOP from shutting him down at every turn.
Liberals and Democrats have never been known for extraordinary foresight. Seeing beyond their own noses would be an excellent start.

What the Democrats do is just ram everything through and screw the Republicans. I doubt they will though, most likely we'll just hear more of the working together looking forward not backwards bull****. This is what we will do when the music stops,
- Raise taxes on every citizen
- Reform Medicare and Social security (less benefits)

Not true. Democrats have never wanted what is best for the nation. They have only sought to destroy the nation, including starting a Civil War to accomplish that end. Everything Democrats have ever done has only harmed the nation, which has always been their primary goal.
