Except that most of them are on food stamps so it's the taxpayers having to pay for them to over eat. And when they have health problems, since they're on Medicaid, it will be those who have to work for a living paying for that also.

Well that's OK. That's why we have Obamacare. Obamacare gets rid of lifetime limits so these people won't have to worry about ever hitting a lifetime max on the money spent for their health.

I have to admit it has been hilarious watching them loose their minds whenever the 1st lady suggests maybe we should be feeding our children healthy food instead of stuffing them with twinkies all day long. Their brains have been so damaged and they're so consumed by hatred that they rush out and stuff themselves full of an entire carton on Hostess Cup Cakes just to spite her. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face, morons.
And yet the Liberals go crazy when you tell them it is just as much lifestyle that needs to be changed as it is diet..... they just like the control part they can accomplish with banning foods

That's right. Because banning 32 oz cups will prevent people from drinking too much soda.

It's about neither. It's about too many calories for the level of physical activity. And don't say a $3.00 bag of potato chips costs less than a $3.00 bag of carrots.

Could it be that the level of mental fortitude that leads to "Body by Goodyear" is the same that leads to contentment with poverty?

I've volunteered in food pantries. Many of those people wouldn't know what to do with a bag of carrots.
They come looking for the boxes of mac and cheese, cans of ravoli, etc.

Aren't both republicans and democrats obese? Why is this even a biparisan issue?

The problem with Americans is their food preferences have changed. It doesn't take much to change them back, they just need to eat healthier food and smaller portions

i say if Americans cooked with less cheese, butter and sugar, we would have less obese people. All you can taste in most restaurants are those 3 flavors and salt. Also people should eat smaller portions of meat.

And there are a lot of people out there who don't know how to cook a 15 minute meal, so they go to their local fast food place and spend more time driving, waiting and polluting the planet.

Unfortunately, poverty and obesity go hand in hand. Unhealthy food is cheap. Compare a pack of hot dogs to a pound of salmon. With the way of eating we've become accustomed to over the past century, a diet based heavily in grains, sugars and processed food along with more sedentary lifestyles and careers, is there any wonder that obesity is becoming a problem?

A quick glance at the old food pyramid clearly shows a problem. We were taught that half of what we eat should be grains, breads, pasta and starches. How many of us eat low-fat Lean Cuisine chicken pasta for lunch, which is loaded with carbohydrates and sugar, and can't figure out why they're still fat?
