True, it didn't start under him. Many did care as it built. He has added more than anyone else.

If you think we should have started caring decades ago, which is true, why do you excuse it now?

Come on, give the poor man a break. How can you expect him to remember things like the national debt or unemployement rate? His mind is full of more important things...like golf handicaps, Beoncies schedule, pirate meetings and his Letterman conversations...you don't expect him to remember work stuff too do you?

It is more of a shrug than an excuse because it is probably too late.

[too bad]

The fact is, it was an easy question to answer. Either he is too stupid and out of touch, he couldn't remember, or he was embarrassed for being asked that by a "friendly" and too humiliated to admit what the number was.

Failure sums him up in one word.

He's not pretending, he just doesn't care. It's other people's money.

problem is he tried and could not at least slow it off but acclerated the problem, so its time to try something else and that means someone else.

It's so hard to keep track when you're spending other peoples money.

The Letterman thing was just like a good old press conference. Ask him softball questions and then just accept his non-answer and go on from there. He is something but I don't think nearly as brilliant as the media wants us to think.

I believe he doesn't know. It is going up too fast for him to keep up with it.

It sure is hard to jump in on 10 of these things a day and post some one line deflection post hoping nobody will talk about the topic. I'll bet you earn your pay as a deflector.
