Well the military does produce a lot, they are at the forefront of development and the "product" they have to distribute is security which is based on need.

But the basics are all there, the government owns it, does with it what is "needed" and we all get to pay for it.

The problems were caused by the right wing governments encouraging spending, credit and de-regulation.

Now the socialists take the blame - at least they are working FOR the people not against them.
