These things are already legal and accepted in much of the world, including parts of your country...The US is falling behind the times because of the negative influence of the bible thumpers.

I remember that before animal homosexuality was extensively observed people used to say homosexuality was unnatural because it didn't exist in nature. Now that they have shown that it does exist within nature people have resorted to stating things like what you posted above. It seems there will always be an excuse to not accept homosexuals from the conservative side?
Also, there have been many discussions about homosexual practices in other threads and recent studies have shown that anal sex is not as common as most people believe with homosexuals (oral sex and mutual masturbation are more common). In fact heterosexuals almost practice it as much as homosexuals; the CDC did a study in 2005 which showed 40% of men and 35% of women (all heterosexuals) engaged in this practice. It's a stereotype that only gay men engage in this act.
My aim is to abolish all marriage entirely so hopefully, in the future, the SSM debate will be a non-issue.

Actually, I don't think it should be banned, but just taken out of government hands, and optional for the couples to marry or not....I don't know what the situation is in the US, but in Canada fewer people are are tying the knot every year.

This type of bogus 'therapy' is now being banned in the UK. An investigation was sparked off by an undercover Journalist who taped his sessions with 2 of these 'therapists' and reported them to the BACP.
It was disgusting to read how these 'therapists' tried to steer this guy into saying that he had a poor relationship with his father when he actually had had a good relationship. The woman also tried to convince him that he was probably sexually abused as a child by someone in his family - which he wasn't. That's the sort of thing that these 'therapists' think 'causes' homosexuality (despite no valid evidence for these idesa and plenty of evidence against). It's really despicable the lengths some of these religious 'therapists' will go to try to support their own wacky 'theories'. She even told him that prayer can cure HIV -not that the journalist was HIV positive anyway.
This woman was highly unethical as well as incompetent and unprofessional (as was the male therapist). I'm glad she ended up being deregistered. These people need to be exposed for what they are.
This so-called 'therapy' is based on a prejudiced and unscientific view of homosexuality as a 'mental disorder' that needs to be 'cured'. Every major health organization rejected this unsupported idea decades ago.
Pretty much the only 'therapists' who still believe this are directly connected to NARTH, who are a small fringe group of religious conservatives who seem to need to believe that homosexuality is something that can be changed because that's what their religious beliefs require them to believe. They have no valid evidence to support their views and there is plenty of evidence that discredits their views.
NARTH's views are about as antiquated and have as little basis in evidence as Freud's views from a hundred years ago. (Although even Freud had the view that homosexuality could not be changed)
Anyone who has done any research on NARTH knows that are basically a religious anti-gay propaganda group who do no research, have no scientific basis for their claims and have been debunked and discredited for many years for misrepresenting legitimate studies. They make a lot of money with this 'therapy' from self-hating gay and lesbian people and from parents who cannot cope with the idea that their children might be gay.
Frankly the people who really need therapy are the NARTH 'ex-gay' 'therapists' and the desperate parents who take their innocent children to these hucksters for their snake oil 'cure'.
