When you combine federal, state, property, medicare, ss, and sales taxes I am paying roughly 50 percent tax on my labor. . If I buy a 60 dollar pair of sneakers those sneakers really cost me 120 dollars, because thats how much Id have to make to really buy those sneakers. And you want to squeeze more money from the working man. You lazy socialists are the most generous people Ive ever met when your own money isnt on the line.

Quite a problem indeed. Other problems to note are wages that just aren't cutting it anymore, record low taxes on the wealthy which do nothing for the economy, and record low capital gains taxes.

"You can afford it" "You just need to down size"

It is going to come to a boiling point at some point in time, when they really do run out of others peoples money, so they start printing their own.

The inner cities will self destruct, with the rural areas fighting to keep what they have.

I'm so glad my state has no state, income based tax, applied to me.

It should make you feel better that Mitt Romney pays less of a percentage than you, and still thinks it's too much. Him and his Wall St./Hedge Fund/Private Equity vulture buddies pay way too much on their investment income, even if it's less than you pay for your hard work. You made a bad career choice.

1st, to the OP: The reason for this is that many libs seem to believe ALL money belongs to the Gov't, and it is theirs to decide where it goes. That is why, I would say.

2nd, It isn't up to the Gov't or any company to pay you what you think you are worth. Do something to get there! I am tried of whinny b****** blaming everything on the rich. You have plenty of rich in the Gov't and what are they doing - trying to pay the least amount of taxes a possible, even the ones who say we should pay for taxes. To be fair, I would say at least some don't do this, though.

I'd give 2 to 1 odds these serial right wing crybabies, are living on fixed incomes, and one check away from being broke.

They get an ego boost from pretending they pay all these taxes, when middle calls taxes are a 30 years lows.

It makes me feel our government should not penalize the people for being prosperous. Not you, not me, not Mitt, not the bum on the corner.

If the government does something, it should be equal across the board to all citizens.

We should advocate for all to be paying less in taxes regardless of income/class.
The less we give the goobermint the less it is able to interfere with our lives.

50% of Americans would be starving and living in slum grade dwellings if you did this. Gotta pay a certain admissions fee if you would like a 1st would society.

And make no mistake, many of the wealthy or more well to doers would earn far less if such a large proportion of Americans had no money to spend. More than ever, America would be dependent on government spending to prop up the economy.
