Just as there's no law saying I MUST give full-time employees any coverage at all.

I only do that because (a) I treat my employees like family and (b) it makes it possible for me to compete with other companies for the best and the brightest.

But YOU would prefer my employers get nothing. How does that feel as a liberal to be behind denying good people a good life?
Why do you have to give your employees health care?............. Because you are under the thumb of Private health insurance. UHC's free employers from providing health cover and is much cheaper too.
Many companies do NOT choose to give health care to their part time staff just expensive basic cover.

If people here insist on having health care ruled by insurance companies then with or without Obama care..... you are going to be "ripped off" as you have been for many years now.
Govt. funded health care works all over the World successfully, only America, out of all the industrialised Nations, is still under the control of big private health insurance companies with millions going bankrupt or dying because of the greed of Insurance companies.
If you don't want to have a health system that is non profit and not involved in the workplace.... stop moaning when your bottom line is affected.

....and just what type of healthcare do these governments provide?

In Canada, they have lotteries in many towns and the winner gets a primary care physician.

Also in Canada, the Supreme Court ruled that "access to a waiting list is not access to healthcare".

In Quebec, they fought for and were granted the right to open PRIVATE for-profit clinics because the public ones sucked so bad.

If you live a rural area of Canada, good luck finding a MRI anywhere close.

There is a good REASON that hospitals in Buffalo, NY have seen a huge increase in Canadians crossing the border.

My cousins back in England pay for PRIVATE hospitalization because the public ones are so bad they wouldn't take their pets there.

People in England often pull their own teeth.

Public hospitals in England have now resorted to simply turning the sheets and pillow cases when another patient gets the bed.

Rarely if ever do you hear of any new medical breakthroughs from these countries.

Absolutely........... where have these anti-obamacare people been living for the past ten years?
Premiums for health care have been exploding for much more than four years and will continue to explode while Insurance Companies have the monopoly on our health care.

Have you ever heard the wise old saying you only get what you pay for?

Exploding ? I was paying $180/month for a family plan. Quite reasonble.
But not anymore. They certainly are exploding now.

What happened to keeping the healthcare you had if you were happy with it ?
Obamacare was just supposed to be about those people that could not get insurance.

Seems that everyone that has insurance and was happy with it will either lose it or pay through the nose to keep it.

Actually that's not true at all.

My employees have been getting exactly the same coverage since 1989 when I started my business.

Each year, premiums rose a few percentage points just as everything like a gallon of milk has.

Only SINCE the passage of ObamaCare has our premiums skyrocketed.

It's in a health care insurance company's best interest to keep premiums as low as they can to compete with other companies.

The ONE thing that would lower them the most would be to allow Health Care Insurance companies to sell across state lines.
