Only time will tell IMO. I think they have two very different situations as far as what is going on in the country but Clinton was not all that great during his first term, just like Reagan wasn't. If Obama gets a second term, we will then be able to judge his effectiveness IMO but I am not one to think he is doing a **** poor job, just a mediocre job, could do better, but better than most people considering the circumstances IMO.
yeah, that's a big no no. No politics or religion at work. Our manager shuts that kind of talk down fast if he hears it.
Same here. I do allow the guys in my section to discuss it on break or outdoors when when have outside work, but absolutely no discussing politics in the office. I issued that warning a long ass time ago, and i mean every word of it.
I said "With or without the teleprompter"? And he threw a little sissy hissy fit. How many of you Obama supporters think he was as good as Clinton? I'd like to see the results. I'm trying to figure out how the liberal mind works!
Good luck with that. It's almost impossible. Their minds are competely illogical and based entirely on feelings (and they're not even rational feelings). So again, good luck with that.
They use teleprompters, but Obama has shown on more than one occassion that he cant ad lib effectively without a teleprompter. Remember in the 94 State of the Union address when Clintons teleprompter failed 5 minutes into the speech? he went on to deliver a remarkable speech. Do you thiunk Obama could pull that off? He couldnt even get through a town hall chit chat with senior citizens when his teleprompter broke.
I would give my next month's social security check to see that. We got a preview of teleprompter failure, or what it might look like, in last week's debate. But oh, the joy of seeing 0bama's fail in the middle of a big speech.
Obama has had much bigger issues to deal with than Clinton ever did. By the end of his second term, I predict Obama will have about the same status as Clinton.
I think you're right. Comparing the Clinton 8 years to an Obama 8 years, is not possible because of, as you've suggested, circumstances/challenges have been different. Not only did we face a horrific financial crisis left-over from the Bush administration, the President has been facing GOP attacks on our national security by its attempts to thwart programs designed to help us move forward. That the President has accomplished what he has in such a short period of time against these obstacles ... is a miracle. Given 4 more years, and with a Congress that honors its oath of office ... I expect the President to leave office at the end of the period with a very high approval rating and a place in history which will be complimentary.
Obama aspires to be as good as Carter or Duhbya Bush. He can dream, can't he?
