The only people that get hurt are those close to said person; people that did nothing wrong. Anyone can find help if they search for it. I had an acquaintance who committed suicide over some health/money problems and left behind his twelve year old daughter who thought the world of him. I never felt so bad for anyone in my life as I did when I saw her at the funeral.
This is definitely a tragedy, in a perfect world no child would be abused by their peers. But it happens, children can be heartless and cruel if they are not raised to be otherwise. If your child is too weak to stand-up to the public school environment, I think it is the parents responsibility to put them in a private school, or move them to an area that is more civilized.
Are you implying these people should just suck it up and let things be?
If I offended you with my comments, I apologize.
*sigh*
STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES BUT WORDS WILL NEVER HURT ME....

If you had a wife or kids and someone took a picture of them, then photo shopped it to make them look like they were posing nude, you wouldn't find that offensive and do something about it?
*huge sigh*
So now we can add a new photoshopping law?
I can see it now....
Department of Internet Photoshopped pictures meant to bully people....
What jail time do we attach to this heinous crime?
To answer your question, there are numerous laws already on the books for posting pornographic and child pornography on the Internet, all I'd do is report it to the authorities....
Wow! look at how much I've learned about the Internet since you warned me how dangerous a place it was yesterday!!!!

Who is saying to create more laws or have the government monitor activities?!?! I was simply trying to point out that the whole "Sticks and stones..." deal DOES affect some more than others but, saying they need to suck it up is simply being ignorant of the the other person's feelings.
As someone pointed out, you have no idea what the other person is going through until you've been in their shoes and gone through what they have experienced.

Thanks for once again confirming what I've said all along, it's the parents who are bringing up their children in a kumbaya dance around the fire with flowers in their hair mentality....
If the parents had instilled a backbone and self confidence in their children it wouldn't occur, now would it?
Very sad story...I feel bad for her, she didn't see a way out. Teenagers cannot "see" what happens when they make bad decisions-they see in the here and now only. The only question I have is why was she still on Facebook?
What person has gone through life without a bout with hopelessness? I've had my share and like most people, I fight through it. Only the weak take the easy way out. Sorry if it's offensive, but it's true.
Suicide is like bullying your loved ones.
