Lol... so what's your argument then when the people on whose behalf you're fighting are saying that asking for more from them isn't excessive taxation?
perhaps. but my point is and always has been that THE RICH DONT PAY TAXES WHEN THEY CAN AVOID THEM!!!!!!! they may say go ahead and raise my taxes i can afford it, but they will turn right around and tell their accountants to find ways to cut their tax burden.

They were called "full service stations" back then and you had a choice to use them and pay a bit more or go to a self serve. CHOICE and they served as good OJT for future car mechanics.
Those days are gone though. And now it costs $1.00 or $2.00 to put air in your tires and hope the machine isn't broke.

So again... gov't regulation and taxes are to blame for technology taking the place of real workers...

Stuck on this idiocy eh? All technology did was change the way we pay for our gas, NO ONE is checking your grandmothers oil, washer fluid, lights, wipers or tires thru some new technology.
The point is, gas stations, like restaurants and hotels, are in fierce competition which each other, and if they had enough money left over for added niceties, and conveniences, they would buy these, to take away customers from the other guy.
They are still fiercely competitive, but the level of niceties they offer are scaled back, to reflect what they can afford. Are the airlines volunteering to scale back on drinks and headphones because they are suddenly greedy, or are they scaling back because of shrinking profits?
Some states have laws against how much gas stations can charge for gas, so even if they could raise gas by 2 cents and offer full service, its against the law for them to do so.
Certainly to blame for many workers having their hours being cut this coming year.
Many small colleges used to offer a bare bones health care insurance plan, to cover young healthy students. But some big government libs thought they knew better, and demanded that all health care insurance must be a Cadilac plan, or the velvet-covered, iron fist of government would come knocking, so now no more affordable health care insurance. Only certain lucky winners were selected by Obama to receive his coveted ObamaCare waivers, the rest had to cancel insurance for their employees and or members.
The full-service gas station and the affordable health care insurance all went away because of some lib, who had a thought in his head, and ran to government to force the rest of us to adopt it.
Even if some college or business owner was able to offer affordable health care, the government has made it against the law to do so.
Buffet is quick to tax people that are coming up the food chain. He only makes 100k per year in income so there is not much
of a tax increase for him.
How about a survey on a new wealth tax for anyone worth more than 1 billion dollars? Say, 20 percent off all their wealth, that includes homes, savings, business, and trust funds!. Yes...old Warren and Gates have stashed their massive wealth into trust funds to avoid taxes. So let us tax those trust funds and see how Warren and Gates feel about that!
