"Conservation easements provide landowners with a legal means of protecting their properties' conservation values while maintaining ownership, retaining certain uses of their land and earning significant tax benefits. A conservation easement is a voluntary legal agreement between a landowner and an easement holder by which the landowner imposes permanent restrictions on the way the property is used. Conservation values are protected by extinguishing some property rights, such as mining and subdivision, while reinforcing rights such as passive recreation, agriculture, silviculture and some limited construction. Conservation easements are generally held by governmental entities or specialized nonprofit organizations, known as land trusts. There are about 50 organizations in Georgia that are qualified to hold conservation easements. The holder of a conservation easement has both the right and responsibility to monitor and enforce easement terms in perpetuity. There are approximately 1,000 conservation easements today in Georgia. State agencies that hold conservation easements include the Department of Natural Resources and the Georgia Forestry Commission. You can learn more about the State's role in conservation easements by reviewing our Policy Guidance for Conservation Easements in Georgia"

Those aware of Agenda 21 and its aim to undermine U.S. sovereignty and take control of our land and water, should also be aware of an equally dangerous ally of UNESCO being used to infiltrate our public schools. That organization is the International Baccalaureate, or IB. IBO is an NGO of UNESCO. Its educational "programmes" for children ages 3-19 exist primarily to promote Agenda 21. Mandatory teacher training in "sustainability" and Agenda 21 are required by IB.

Also, under Clinton, Bush, and Obama, nearly 20M acres of land in the 13 western mining states has been withdrawn. They've done an end around to the 1874 mining act to please conservationists. Just as with oil, Obama is locking up the resourses based solely on pressure by his constiuency.

Presidential establishment of monuments sometimes has been contentious—for example,
President Franklin Roosevelt’s creation of the Jackson Hole National Monument in Wyoming
(1943); President Carter’s massive Alaskan withdrawals (1978); and President Clinton’s
establishment of 19 monuments and enlargement of three others (1996-2001). The Obama
Administration’s consideration of areas for possible monument designation has renewed
controversy over the Antiquities Act.

They are using the monument act to withdraw the richest mining lands from public use.

Florida Forever is Florida’s premier conservation and recreation lands acquisition program, a blueprint for conserving natural resources and renewing Florida’s commitment to conserve the state’s natural and cultural heritage. Florida Forever replaces Preservation 2000 (P2000), the largest public land acquisition program of its kind in the United States. With approximately 9.9 million acres managed for conservation in Florida, more than 2.5 million acres were purchased under the Florida Forever and P2000 programs.
Since its inception in July 2001 to the present, the Florida Forever program has acquired more than 682,000 acres of land with $2.86 billion.

Florida is second only to California in the # of IB programs in its schools. Florida and California have the biggest coastlines of our 57, I mean 50 states. Look at all of the areas where there are active protests against IB in the U.S. - they are all located near a sizable lake or body of water AND many of them are already ICLEIs. Coincidence? I don't believe in coincidence.

I don't have to live in Florida to see that the state is buying up acres of land with YOUR tax dollars and then turning around and telling YOU that you can't go there.

Federal and State governments own approx 40% of this country and that aint slowing em down to acquire more. They just need more ways to wrest if from private hands through the court system. All this biodiversity and wetlands nonsense is a way to get that done. Meanwhile they sustainable group wants folks stacked in bee hives living on top of each other to leave the land to the critters, oh and the chosen few of course. All these little hives to be connected via hi speed rail to ship the workers from population center to population center. Of course they don't want to pay for any of it either they want the folks they will ship to the hives eventually to pay for it. It's only fair.

That has NOTHING to do with Florida Forever, which is what I was speaking of.
Do you know anything about Florida Forever?
Oh, and you're posting a blog as credible?
Really?

I love how people point to "credible news sources" and say well if it isn't from a "credible" news source then it is bunk...

Why even have the internet if you aren't going to seek ALTERNATE news sources which bring things to light that MAINSTREAM outlets won't??

You might as well just throw your computer out, or at the very least, disconnect it from the internet... Stick to newspapers and TV. They will suit you just fine.
