To me the bigger issue is not when or if he called it an act of terrorism but that he and his administration without a doubt tried to blame a US made video on the attack. That was a blatant lie and for the life of me I cannot understand WHY they would want to push the blame back on the US for something like that.. unconscionable. I suppose they were not putting the blame on the US as much as they were simply trying to keep it away from the administration so close to the election! I get that we are close to an election and issues like this can sway some voters but there comes a time when you have to swallow your pride and own up to mistakes. I can understand mistakes.. I can forgive mistakes but lies.. silly political white lies are easy to over look but this was not the case.. this was blatant cover your political azzz lying to keep the issue from exploding so close to an election..

Here is an excerpt of the transcript:

Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourned with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.
As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.
No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

Obama talks about 9/11, THEN says last night we found out about Benghazi. At this point it should be more than clear that Obama is speaking in the context of Benghazi. He spoke about the character of those who represent us around the globe and who lay down their lives for our nation, CLEARLY a reference to the Ambassador and 3 other Americans who represented us in Benghazi and were killed. Then Obama says No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this nation. So he specifically speaks of finding out about the attacks, about the character of our representatives who got killed in the attacks, and then says no act of terror will shake our resolve. That was CLEARLY also therefore about the attacks. And he immediately follows the statement with We will see justice done for this terrible act. STILL talking about the attacks.

It's totally absurd that Obama can cite finding out about the attacks, praise our reps who were killed in the attacks, say no acts of terror will shake us, then say we will get justice for the Americans killed and STILL have people trying to claim that when he used "acts of terror" in the midst of all that talk about the Benghazi attack, that somehow those words had nothing to do with Benghazi attack. It totally defies logic. What are they going to say next- that when Obama speaks of people laying down their lives, that had NOTHING to do with the 4 Americans killed in the attack either? This is the kind of twisted backwards thinking that would take a statement "I like water. I like to drink water. I like to swim in swimming pools. I like to take showers." and conclude that the talk about swimming had nothing to do with water, that the speaker was just speaking generally about swimming pools. These Republicans with their bizarro statements need to either get some honesty or a high school English class because one of the two is SERIOUSLY lacking.

The Washington Post agrees with the prior CNN quote:
Quote:
By our count, it took eight days for an administration official to concede that the deaths in Libya were the result of a “terrorist attack.â€

More to Romney’s point, Obama continued to resist saying the “T†word, instead repeatedly bringing up the video, even in a speech to the U.N. General Assembly on Sept. 25.
Fact checking the second presidential debate - The Washington Post

CNN is now trying to backtrack to cover for Obama and more importantly, Crowley. Crowley works for CNN, and the damage done to her credibility reflects very badly on CNN. They're trying to bail out of that now. That's unprofessional and unethical, but Crowley's egregious lie leaves them no choice.

Sure, but what did he mean by 'a'?
Was he just using a seemingly insignificant indefinite article? Don't be so sure :-D

Maybe lefties should pay attention to what he really stated!

On top of that why did he mention 6 x at his UN speech the tape and didn't call it an act of terror just as the Fort Hood shooting was not an act of terror to him...

BUT he was pretty fast to come out and bash the police when his ex professor was arrested!

Bye bye Obama, it is time to go and perhaps move to one of the countries he feels so sorry for so he can pay back for everything that in HIS opinion the US has done wrong...and take his buddies from Hollywood with him...

two points. First Foxnews has never said Mr. Obama didn’t say the words "no act of terror" in that speech.
in fact, they have repeatedly played Mr. Obama's speech in full.

so on point 1. don’t lie.

Point two. you misrepresent Mr. Obama's comments. He did not say that the attack in Bengasi was a terrorist attack. He did say "no act of terror will deter America" I am willing to stipulate this was a comment related to Bengasi.

What is also very clear from all that has transpired, Mr. Obama, Susan Rice, Jay Carney, and Hillary Clinton ALL stated after Mr. Obama's day 1 speech, that the attack in Bengasi was a result of the Muhammad Video and was a protest that "got out of hand."

REGARDLESS of the "no act of terror" comment, the Obama administration had a concerted effort to deflect the truth and lie to the American people over what happened.

ALL OF this is in the context of the State Department being on record that they had a live feed that they watched in real time of the attack and knew immediately that the attack was a military style hit with no protest involved.
