I brought this subject up in another thread: Greece told rescue requires 6-day workweek - UPI.com

...and I have to wonder, can it happen here? Can you imagine working an extra day for the same pay you are making with a 40 hr a week job? And that's only one of the "concessions" being forced on them because their government drove them into debt slavery to the internation banks.

Debt is truly a monsterous trap and Greece ran straight into it with reckless abandon. What happens when the trap is spung here?

I imagine the right-wingers here would be all for it. The five-day workweek is an invention of those eeeeevil unions.

I'm not worried that it will happen in America.

23,000,000 Americans can't find a job. They don't have to worry about a 6 day work week.

That's a zero day work week. Thank Obama.

That would mean less jobs for those unemployed and looking for work. One sixth of those currently employed would lose their jobs, adding to the ranks of the unemployed.

Its alos pointed out that the Greeks will have to giveup their 3 hour lunch breaks and the black economy jobs that many do after work.I think that most successful people work the eqaul of 6 days in hours and have for years.Certainlky I don't know a business owner who does work 10-12 hour days;its just part of what it takes.

Dems are too lazy to work.

I presume you have a job that not only pays well it also doesn't suck.

If you had a really crappy job (say flipping burgers) that paid minimum wage, would you work 6 days a week?
