Our local health department doesn't help you if you're not on Medicaid. If you're on Medicaid they have all the answers but if you're just looking for info you're pretty much sol.

What they do is give you a list of clinics that work on a sliding scale...but then you have to call them. Each one has different requirements and scales and upfront fees. Some only do so many sliding scale patients. Some only do it one day per week and have crazy waiting lists. Some of the clinics are closed or have changed numbers.

Obama lies all the time. I can't believe people still go to his rally's and listen to his zingers, jokes and lies and cheer like they are getting paid to do so. Oppps,did I say that?

My county HD does not desire to provide direct "medical" services, except for immunizations and HIV testing. That is the philosophy of the administration. They closed down their maternity clinics. I don't know if they ever had a well-baby clinic program.
