1) A collection of a few clips is hardly indicative of the agenda of a million different clubs and groups throughout college and high school campuses across the country.

HOWEVER...

2) Did you even listen to and/or read the transcripts that site provides? You're talking about 20 second clips within the context of longer conversations mostly set in the mid 90's in opposition to Prop 187, and you're trying to convince me there is some diabolical, anti-American message in there? Hint: there's not. And what does this have to do with student organizations at large (unless you want me to go dig up something racist some White senator said at one point 80 years ago, and try to pass it off as some White racist agenda that exists today)? Come on...

Go back and actually read those transcripts.

I'd have to go with Anchorless here.

If it was a German-American Club or similiar or even a Euro-American Club, that would be fine and is indeed common. A Caucasian Club might be done as a spot of irony if you were promoting a color blind philosophy. But I notice nobody save for liberal whites buys into that (hence all the clubs). So Caucasian Club would be regarded as racist.

Of course Asian-American club is a big tent and its not like various Asian countries have much in common or even like each other. So that one is kind of absurd as well. Japanese-American club or similiar would be more appropriate.

African-American clubs are generally harmelss and understandable. Most blacks are not able to trace their lineage the way European descended folks can and its not like slaves were brought from nation states.

Yea I am rambling but that is what happens when you open the Pandora's box of racial and ethnic identities.

If you had read all the posts, I did say that I would advise him to call it American Club. Why is it wrong? I never said it was just for whites. I said originally a caucasian( white club). I corrected that with, I was trying to be politically correct then corrected it with the name, American Club. The idea is to give these kids, who have no club a chance to be part of one. Let's be realistic. If a white person walked into an African American club or into a La Raza club they would not be welcomed. IMO. Were as in an American club the focus would be on America. The many different cultures of this country and yes White people are a part of that culture,

For every United Negro College Fund, there are 100 organizations which give vast amount of college funds to students whom the majority are white. And BTW, do you have a problem with the millions of dollars Jewish organizations give in scholarship funds exclusively to Jewish (white) students?

No I have no problem with it, I just havent located the clubs giving to only white people. Lord knows my son couldnt find this funding.

Go to the College section.

It's almost 700 pages.

The last time I was at BN there was about 6 or 7 different books, about 500 to 1000 pages, full of different scholarship sources.

I'm quite confident he'll find one scholarship that allows white kids to apply.
