So let me get this straight... you mean passing anti-abortion laws mean that women STILL get abortions? Oh, and it's somehow better for a woman AND her "unborn baby" to die in the case of "mortal danger" than to abort the baby?
Women take the risk of death when they choose to have intercourse? These aren't parents shirking responsibility/anti-children/God-haters/other diabolical term that you can surely come up with. These are women who will die (along with their child) if they don't have an abortion. I don't agree with pro-lifers, but I can understand them. But being so steadfastly held in a belief system so far as to promote the unnecessary deaths of women, well, thats sick.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but how is the "LAW".. killing women.. isnt it the females who make the choice to take the risk to have an illegal abortion? The laws not killing women.. the doctors performing the illegal abortion is, and should be charged with double murder in the event both the baby and the adult dies, single murder if the baby is aborted.. If they are performing an illegal act.

No, the law proscribes the doctors from performing the procedure. So, as you read in the article, one village woman went to local "medicine women" to go through a botched excision of a known ectopic pregnancy.
Pregnancy is a very effective way of keeping women "in their proper place". Keeping women in their place is just part of the church policy of unlimited population growth need to keep the church revenues flowing.
BTW – last I heard an ectopic pregnancy would KILL a woman and the baby. IMHO an abortion is the better of a difficult choice. Too bad she could not have it done by a skilled surgeon and not a local midwife.
I bet no one who wishes abortion was banned in this country can name one country where abortion is banned and would want to live there.
