Welcome to the reality.
Tell me about it.
The last US diplomat killed by terrorists was John Granville in 2008 in Sudan (under George Bush's watch). It took almost 19 months to investigate and track down the perpetrators (who subsequently escaped from prison and all but 1 are still on the lamb).

I was kinda hoping for a good smackdown on 0bama, but am also glad it didn't happen. Everybody with an ounce of sense knows the prez lied and lied and lied. A smackdown wouldn't change any minds.
To expect solid answers any time soon is nonsense. The amount of information that has to be collected and then weeded through it and then piecing it together will take many months.
For what it's worth, here is a recount taken from 4 Libyan guards at the compound. Apparently there was no protest but a rush attack. They are now in hiding fearing for their lives. Arabic has different dialects and it appears that some of the attackers were not Libyan based on their dialects and dress.
It's a shame that our consulate was made to depend on them because they certainly appear to be cowards. The fact that they were there to protect Americans, defend the consulate and provide diplomatic security, even it it meant using their weapons, seems to be lost on them. Protecting and defending does not mean looking for a hole to crawl into. They seem to be under the impression that our miiltary was there to protect them.
